1. What is Liberdus?
Liberdus is a decentralized messaging and payments platform that allows users to send quantum encrypted messages and transact without intermediaries. Liberdus is built using a the Shardus framework which creates application specific decentralized technologies. These “chains” or “distrusted ledger technologies” provide the ability to scale the platform as the user base grows and also enhance security and censorship resistance, whilst simultaneously enabling users to set message tolls to manage spam and monetize interactions.
2. How does Liberdus compare to Session, Signal, Telegram, and WhatsApp?

3. What makes Liberdus different from other messaging apps?
- Decentralization: No central servers store messages; transactions and interactions are validated by the network.
- Integrated Payments: Users can send and receive cryptocurrency payments alongside messages.
- Toll System for Messages: Users can charge a small fee to receive messages, reducing spam and unwanted contact.
- Censorship Resistance: There is no single entity that can shut down or control the network.

8. Does Liberdus process takedown or data requests?
No, Liberdus is decentralized, meaning there is no central authority to process take down requests or provide user data. Since messages are not stored permanently on the network, they expire after a set time and cannot be retrieved once deleted.
9. Do I need to download an app to use Liberdus?
No, you can simply go to Liberdus.com/test/ on your browser and start using Liberdus right now via web app. Alternatively, you can also download the Liberdus app on iOS or Android via the download page: https://liberdus.com/download/

11. Can I install Liberdus from the App Store or F-Droid?
Currently, Liberdus is available only on the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. In the near future, we will also will be on F-Droid.
12. Does Liberdus work on Windows, macOS, and Linux?
Yes, Liberdus works on Windows, macOS, and Linux through a web browser. There is no standalone desktop app yet, but it can be accessed via a browser portal on any operating system.
13. Can I access Liberdus through a web browser?
Yes, Liberdus is designed to be a browser-based decentralized messaging app. You can access it on any modern browser like Chrome, Firefox, Edge, Brave, Opera or Safari.
14. How do I create a Liberdus account?

15. Do I need a phone number or email to sign up?
No, Liberdus does not require a phone number or email for account creation. You simply choose your unique username and then click “create account” to sign up. Liberdus’s has been designed to enable maximum privacy and anonymity for its users.
16. How do I create a username?
During account creation, you will be prompted to choose a unique username. This username can be used for messaging and payments, and it will be mapped to your Liberdus wallet address. For a more in depth guide on how to create a username see the account creation user guide.
17. Can I change my username after creating my account?
No, once a username is registered, it cannot be changed. However, you can create a new account with a different username if needed and have multiple accounts.
18. Is there a limit to the number of accounts I can have?
No, you can create multiple accounts, but each account will have its own private key and wallet address.
19. Can I use Liberdus on multiple devices?
Yes, although if you want to use the same account on multiple devices you need to back up your account and then send the backup to your new device to sign in.
20. Can I use Liberdus without an internet connection?
No, since Liberdus is decentralized, it requires an active internet connection to interact with the network and send/receive messages. Offline messaging is not currently supported.
21. How do I update my Liberdus app?
Updates are automatically applied when you refresh the page or reopen the app.
